Ngoni is a string instrument and a traditional West African guitar. Its body is made of calabash with dried goat skin head stretched over it. The ngoni, which can produce fast melodies, played by griots and largely reserved for ceremonial purposes.
This vintage, healing ngoni has gourd for a belly at the bottom, covered with goat skin and an extra layer of plywood, as well as a long neck with 14 strings.
The instrument is acquipped with a guitar pick up for amplification.
